Popis: In the last few years, the use of capacitively coupled contactless conductivity detection (C4D) to monitor separations, biomolecular interactions, cell counting, and other reactions on microfluidic platforms has become increasingly popular due to its instrumental simplicity, low cost, and open-source electronics. This chapter covers recent instrumental aspects of C4D, including the fabrication of sensing electrodes and their integration on lab-on-a-chip devices, miniaturized titration, and chromatography, as well as flow-based analyses. In addition, it will summarize applications in different areas, including forensics and clinical, environmental, and bioanalytical fields.
