Popis:	My decision to write this paper was grounded in a personal worry that I had at the time. In short, as I noted in my Personal Prologue, I learned from John Rawls’ lectures in the history of ethics how important it is to do one’s best to understand the ideas of others as they must have understood them, before engaging in any criticism of them or even using them for one’s own purposes.
