Popis: | The scintillation properties of Ce3+ doped ternary cesium rare-earth halides are reported. We investigated Cs3Lu2I9:Ce3+, Cs3Gd2I9:Ce3+, Cs3LaBr6:Ce3+ and Cs3LuI6:Ce3+. Cs3Lu2I9:Ce3+ and Cs3LaBr6:Ce3+ exhibit the highest light yields under γ-ray excitation of 22800 ± 2300 and 10400 ± 1000 photons per MeV of absorbed γ-ray energy, respectively.
