Popis: Drawn from the author’s dissertation research, this chapter provides an example of how participatory action research can be used for evaluative purposes to study program effectiveness in education policy. The chapter is structured into four sections. The first section describes the relevance of stakeholder perceptions to program evaluation. The second section introduces Photovoice as the participatory action research methodology used in the study. The third section presents the research study undertaken on India’s Education for All Program. Finally, the fourth section discusses potential applications of Photovoice to the education policy process in the South Asian context. The study emphasizes the use of Photovoice to gather data from parents who belong to marginalized population subgroups in India.
