In this research paper the total accumulation of plastic strains of a thick walled tube subjected to rapid heating and cooling of the inside of the cylinder over four cycles is investigated. For numerical analysis a quasi-static uncoupled thermoelastoplastic solution is presented. The problem is solved for the case of a material with temperature dependent properties. The plastic deformation for the first four cycles is computed. The yield reduction at each cycle was considered. It was found that incremental deformation or reversed plasticity may occur, depending on the type of mechanical loading. For mechanical loading two situations were considered. |
