Early intervention strategies for children with hearing impairments

Popis: The purpose of the article is to present important strategies used in early intervention for children with hearing impairments. With reference to the paradigm of family-focused intervention, the role of specialists is discussed - with emphasis on its autonomy - as well as their cooperation with the family. The most important recent scientific research on early intervention for children with hearing impairments is pointed to. The impact of technological changes on child language, social and cognitive development is taken into consideration.
