This research shows the process for determining the environmental impact caused by pollution from jet engines, which contribute to the greenhouse effect of atmosphere of Bogota, specifically in the area of ElDorado airport. The research shows the methods followed for obtaining results such as the smoke index engine regulatory, calculations of allowed gas emissions by the International Civil Aviation Organization, calculations of allowed gaseous emissions by the OSHA environmental standards and the Ministry of Environment, Housing and Territorial Development. To process a study of the types of aircraft engine is carried and also an analysis of the number of aircraft operations generated daily in the airport, in order to determine the size of the sample according to the existing population; subsequently data collection of the percentage content of gases emitted by the engines were made using a gas analyzer. The analysis of gaseous emissions were performed on the three types of jet engines that are widely used by commercial airlines and were made comparatives between the values obtained and regulatory values according to national and international standards. |
