Popis:	This paper presents the conclusions from the analysis of the velocity of money within the Russian banking system, as calculated according to the data of banking turnovers. Here, the emphasis is not on the analysis of accounting (technical) turnovers but the economically significant meaning of changes in the velocity of money.
