Popis: | A power efficient, fast response buck converter is presented in this paper using the adaptive on-time I2 control technique. The buck converter is designed to produce an output voltage of 0.3V for a 1.5V input voltage. It is implemented on Cadence Virtuoso using a generic 45nm CMOS process. The performance of the converter is studied for different values of the output ripple. It is seen that the power efficiency of the converter can be as high as 98.5% while maintaining constant switching frequency of 50MHz, which is a significant improvement over the existing work. The response of the converter to varying input voltage is found to be 45ns which is 2.25 times the switching period. |
