It is shown that the current stage is marked by a significant increase in the role of information and communication technologies in library activities. The National Scientific Agricultural Library of the National Academy of Agrarian Sciences of Ukraine is the leading information branch center, the national depository on agriculture and forestry, as well as the scientific and methodological center of the unified system of agricultural libraries of Ukraine. A national sectoral information resource, integrated into the international databases of agricultural information, is created on the basis of the library. The library's achievements in the direction of corporate formation of a system of sectoral and regional scientific and information Internet portals, based on the common efforts of libraries, information centers, scientific and educational institutions are shown. It is argued that the importance of key components of a single scientific and information space is acquired by scientific digital libraries united by communication networks. |
