The quantum mechanical principle of corresponding states, in which the thermodynamic state variables are reduced by the molecular parameters of the Lennard-Jones two-body interaction potential and quantum deviations from classical behavior are correlated, has been used to investigate the saturated-liquid viscosity of 3He, 4He, H2, D2, T2, Ne, N2, and Ar. Values have been obtained for: (1) the critical-point viscosities of 4He, normal H2, equilibrium D2, and T2; (2) the triple-point viscosities of n-H2, p-H2, D2, T2, Ne, N2, Ar, Kr, and Xe; and (3) the saturated viscosities for 3He, 4He, D2, and T2. |
