Popis: | Synthesized input‐output has become the method of choice for estimating indirect economic impacts of regional agriculture and resource policy changes. Synthesized models trade off survey based 1–0 accuracy for less expense and timely response. Without adjustment, synthesized models may be more appropriate for large urban areas versus applications in small rural economies. Natural resource extraction, energy sectors, and agriculture present unique data problems requiring extra attention. Deficiencies common to many synthesized models are discussed and practical modifications are illustrated and applied to a case study synthesized model in northwestern Colorado. |
