Modeling of absorption, distribution, metabolism and excretion properties is well established in drug discovery. Here we present principles, considerations when and how to build models and how to apply them in real life in the industrial setting. The availability and quality of experimental data is important. However, for in silico models to be utilized availability is a major factor. Additionally, model quality measures need to be presented in an easily understandable manner for chemists and DMPK scientists. |
