Crystalline glaze is one of the special coatings and one of the types of glass coatings that have a sense of aesthetics. The crystalline glaze is one of the coatings that depend on many thermal processes that require heat stabilization at 1270 degrees Celsius, then descending and ascending by heat and fixing several times, and then slow cooling in order to allow the growth of crystals within the glass grid inside the glass coating. It is difficult to obtain crystalline glaze according to the capabilities available in Egypt, because it requires a special fire system, and it requires many complex thermal processes, as well as down and up heat stabilization circuits and a long period of cooling. The research also questioned how to get a frosted glass coating without the fire systems used to fire the crystal glass paint at a temperature of 1100-1150 ° C? The current research deals with the nature of crystalline glaze and the theory of interpretation of crystallization with how to fire this type of paint and fire systems with stabilization and cooling circuits. The research also aimed at obtaining crystal glass coatings without fire systems in the temperature range (1100 ° C - 1150 ° C) and according to the available local materials and resources. The research also followed the experimental method by conducting special experiments on elementary formulations to obtain bases for crystalline glaze suitable for local furnaces with coloring with one of the metallic oxides or several oxides to obtain special colors for crystals. The experiment was based on two bases for coating glass with local ores, in addition to crystallization materials (zinc, quartz) to suit the local conditions and capabilities. , Zinc) and the second rule: (sodium carbonate, potassium carbonate, Egyptian kaolin, dolomite, quartz, zinc). The research also reached many results in which aesthetic formations of crystalline glaze were applied to many porcelain vessels whose sizes ranged between 30 - 40 cm. It was also possible, after the practical experience of the research, that it was possible to obtain a crystalline glaze without complicated fire systems suitable for local ovens at a temperature of (1100-1150) degrees Celsius |
