Popis: Climate change that happens globally impacts changes in rainfall in some regions in Indonesia. Agriculture is one of the sectors that depend on weather conditions. Rainfall variability impacts agriculture in Brebes Regency, Central Java. Rainfall that can not be predicted on May 2015 caused the Pemali River that crosses the Wanasari sub-district spilled over the shallot farms. This study aims to identify impacts of the rainfall variability and estimate the economic losses caused by flood. The study involved 100 respondents from Wanasari District. The method used in this research are qualitative descriptive analysis, loss of earnings, and change in productivity. The results showed that climate variability causes the increase in pests and diseases on shallot farms and also flood. The flood caused losses of IDR 1,624,552,700.
