Popis: | We describe an external-cavity quantum cascade laser with an intra-cavity out-coupling optical configuration emitting between 8.5 and 10.5 μm. This new laser design allows higher output power compared to a conventional Littrow-type external cavity approach, while keeping the wide tunability of the wavelength. We demonstrate a compact laser system based on this design and characterize its performance, achieving more than twice the optical power compared to the Littrow design. |
