Popis: This paper describes an application of geometric modelling to morphogenetic behaviour in order to simulate and so quantify the processes responsible for growth and development. The organism selected for these studies was the developing chick wing bud and the modelling process was carried out in both two and three dimensions. The 3D simulation of the growth during early stages results in irregularities of shape at the surface of the organism. The representation of these surfaces using standard graphics packages presents certain difficulties and we consider alternatives for display of these and similar models.
