The modern vehicles with complex control algorithms have widely used the intelligent suspension systems as the controller. The objective for designed controller of vehicle suspension system is to gain the comfort sensed by passengers covering on the road-profile deflection. In this paper, it presents the design of the proportional-integral-derivative) PID (controllerby the Cuckoo search) CS(, one of the metaheuristic optimization searching techniques on the population-based algorithm. For comparison with CS-based design approach, the results obtained by the PID controller will be compared with those obtained by the PI and PD controllers. The results came out that the CS can give optimal PI, PD and PID controllers for a given suspension system. The PID controller yielded very satisfactory response superior to PI and PD, respectively. |
