Popis: | 3D interpolation of 2D antenna patterns is the method of choice in propagation estimation software, with few bibliographic references on the subject. In some applications there is a need for a pattern approximation of an antenna which is not polarized by one of the reference axes Ox or Oz (e.g. xPo1 antenna). Therefore, we have approached the waveguide approximation in Oz direction and the classical pattern in Ox direction, which prove to be not 1:1 equivalent. We show that the Oz representation is more suitable to obtain a pattern for inclined antennas and less adequate in the case of narrow beams. |
