This project deliverable presents in detail all the appropriate actions integrated to an innovative approach for setting up Communities of Interest (CoI) in the ITS field. The concept of Communities of Interest (CoI) is used in a variety of landscapes to describe an agglomeration of entities that can be of any type of organization or people that are concerned with the exchange of information in some subject area or that share a common goal or environment. In the landscape of Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS), important actors include enterprises, academia, policy makers, associations, consultancies, and, of course, the public as end users. In the case of the NEWBITS project this CoI is structured around four cases of CoI, focused on particular sub-fields or activities such as traffic management, water-based transport of goods and railway safety, are examined. |
