Popis: The high power drives used in industries are bulky and expensive. Several motor drives are used for different processes in the same plant. A major fault in any one of the drive can stop the whole process and may result in huge monetary loss and may also damage the associated drives. Hence for proper functioning of the drives, it is necessary to monitor the performance and health of the drive which can be performed by condition monitoring. In the proposed work, a simulation model of a three phase, 415V, 50Hz VSI fed squirrel cage induction motor is developed in MATLAB Simulink environment and also a Graphical User Interface (GUI) is built using the MATLAB App designer platform. The model is simulated to analyse the system behaviour under healthy and faulty conditions and the GUI is designed to extract the simulation data, monitor the condition of the system and generate a diagnostic report indicating type, location and severity of the fault within the system.
