Popis: | In this paper, a new arrangement of seven-level Stepped DC Link Inverter (SDCLI) is proposed. It consists of DC link modules and H-bridge inverter. Compared with Two-Level Inverter (TLI), the SDCLI system generates the output voltage with reduced harmonic content and voltage stress. SDCLI can considerably reduce the switch count as well as gate drivers as the number of voltage levels increases. The proposed SDCLI configuration eliminates the bulky filter components at the inverter end. In SDCLI, Zero Voltage Switching (ZVS) is achieved through stepped DC link modules. The proposed system does not require a new design of controller for H-bridge inverter module. The proposed SDCLI offers improved performance over TLI, particularly at medium power applications. The validity of the proposed inverter is demonstrated with both computer simulations using MATLAB/SIMULINK software and laboratory experimentation. |
