Popis: | The utility of 31 P magic angle spinning (MAS) nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) for the identification of organophosphite polymer additives, their hydrolysis products, and for the determination of their concentration is demonstrated for bis-(2,4-di-t-butylphenyl) pentaerythritol diphosphite (BTBP) in polycarbonate. This additive undergoes a complex process of hydrolysis that leads to the formation of at least three new phosphorus species. High-resolution solution 31 P NMR is used to help in the identification of the products of the stabilizer chemistry |
