The big players like Cisco, Hitachi, Siemens, etc. are taking part in designing and developing smart colonies across the globe. The basic applications designed so far in smart cities are for logistic, construction, maintenance, healthcare, and security. One of the prominent issues that is still to be addressed is the management of human resources and robots in smart cities. The proposed application will scan the entire city, based on the available space, green area, and number of human beings, and accordingly, it will suggest the number of buildings, residential areas, malls, parks, free and open space, roads, and number of robots. The chapter will address the basic issues like layout and design of an infrastructure based on human beings and humanoid population. The dos and don'ts for robots will be listed to deal with the aged or young. The additional input based on human being psychology will also be formulated so that robots can handle fragile human beings, especially aged human beings, with care. |
