Popis: | Do managers and their subordinates in the U.S. differ from their Central European counterparts with respect to their views of ethics? Are the ethical perspectives and expectations of American businesses significantly different from the ethical perspectives and expectations of those involved in Bulgarian commerce? This article presents the main results of a survey of managers and subordinates conducted in two similar sized cities in the U.S. and in Bulgaria. The study reveals that Bulgarian employees significantly differ from their American counterparts in ethics role expectations for managers and subordinates. The findings may indicate that U.S. businessmen should understand the cultural forces defining parameters of ethics before entering positions of risk in emerging capitalistic economies similar to Bulgaria. |
