Popis:	This paper presents an overview of the application of enterprise modeling (EM) for the purposes of reengineering health-care processes. It provides an introduction to enterprise modeling focusing on how it can be integrated within business process reengineering (BPR) to provide a systematic approach to tackling process improvement and automational initiatives in the health care sector. The special problems faced by health care organizations are discussed together with the manner in which they affect attempts at reengineering. Three EM projects that have been undertaken within the health care sector in Singapore are presented to demonstrate both the use of EM within BPR as well as its value in improving health care service.
