Popis: A dc to dc converter based on flyback topology is design and developed for IGBT gate driver (M57962L). The driver is used to trigger in Insulated Gate Bipolar Transistor (IGBT, MII145-12A3) which is used in command charging unit for controlling charging of storage capacitor used in high voltage power supply. The flyback converters are very popular for low power applications (up to 150W) because of their simple design, multiple isolated output voltages and low cost. The paper describes the design and performance of power supply with resistive loading. The flyback converter is designed to supply biasing voltage of +15V, 150 mA and −8V, 50 mA at switching frequency of 75 KHz to IGBT gate driver.
