Popis: | Separated-oscillatory-field interference signals from the 14-GHz $2^{2}S_{\frac{1}{2}}\ensuremath{-}2^{2}P_{\frac{1}{2}}$ Lamb-shift transition in ${\mathrm{He}}^{+}$ have been observed using a new phase-variation technique. Instead of scanning the frequency over a broad range, the interference signal is measured as a function of the relative phase of the microwave field in the two interaction regions. The resonance frequency is determined from the frequency dependence of the phase at which the signal is a maximum. |
