Popis: | When a group of robots fulfills collective tasks in a conflict environment, it is often necessary to sacrifice one or several robots for the efficient functioning of the group. Sacrifice choice is not a trivial problem. This paper develops a sacrifice role allocation algorithm for such situations based on robots’ ranks. We demonstrate that the crucial role here is played by the skill in sacrifice acquired by an robot, its value for the group and the availability of the resources and functionality required for executing the sacrifice role. The efficiency of the suggested approach is illustrated by allocating the sacrifice role in the group penetration through a defense system (the “diffuse bomb” problem). |
