Since its release ten years ago, the use of CREA in different contexts, both in research and in applied psychology, has given rise to new data about its characteristics, possibilities and limitations. Responding to a question by Villalba: Is it really possible to measure creativity?, and to the diagnosis of Hennessey and Amabile, who believe that current state of research into creativity is characterized both by exuberance and by a fragmentation, and welcoming as their own the need, expressed by Runco, for a parsimonious approach to creativity, CREA test has found in the cognitive flexibility, expressed with the efficient generation of questions, an indicator of potential creative talent and a core parsimonious explanation of the double minimum condition present in all tasks related to creativity: originality and effectiveness. This research provides new data about its international use in different sociocultural contexts: Spain, Argentina, United States, Israel, Poland, Mexico and Turkey. |
