Dual‐sensor streamer acquisition improves seismic imaging offshore China

Popis: In 2009, two dual-sensor streamer 2D seismic surveys were conducted offshore China under a common geological research project. The first survey was in Nanhuanghai (South Yellow Sea, Figure 1) with water depth varying between 60 and 80 meters. The second survey was in Chao Shan (South China Sea, Figure 2) with water depth varying between 300 and 2000 meters. The geological objectives were the Cenozoic basement, the Mesozoic and Paleozoic structures, and the stratigraphy within the Mesozoic.
