Popis:	In this article the process of the performance appraisal conference is presented. Techniques are discussed and pitfalls to avoid are reported. The article concludes with a brief discussion of the importance of a well prepared staff to the library and delineates the essentialness of the performance appraisal conference in a constructive library setting.
