Popis: | For fast photon counting cameras and their applications, present centroiding electronics are not fast enough to match the pixel rate. We are designing a new architecture for the centroiding process. The basic principle is to select only the useful pixels where photoevents occur in order to compute the photocenters and to discard the others. The selected pixels are sent to a digital signal processor (DSP) for photocenter computations. The maximum photon rate is only limited by the DSP speed.© (1993) COPYRIGHT SPIE--The International Society for Optical Engineering. Downloading of the abstract is permitted for personal use only. |
