Popis:	The highly electrophilic ketones 2-(trifluoroacetyl)-1,3-diazoles easily undergo a decarboxylative aldol-type reaction with activated acetic acids to afford heterocyclic trifluoromethyl-substituted alcohols bearing various functionalities.
