The plots, 68 ft X 68 ft, were in a 6-yr-old stand of ‘Wampr’ alfalfa. All treatments and the untreated control were replicated 3 times in a RCB design. Sprays were mixed to apply the proper rates in 20 gal total vol/acre. Treatments were applied 7 Jul with a low-pressure, low-volume Hahn field sprayer equipped with 21 Stainless steel 8003 Tee Jet nozzles and operated at 35 psi. A standard treatment of dimethoate 4 EC was applied at the rate of 0.25 lb (AI)/acre. PLH densities were determined 3, 7, 10, and 18 DAT by collecting 20 sweeps from each plot with a standard 15-inch-diam beating net. |
