Popis: | Background: Performing a supracervical hysterectomy via single incision laparoscopy (LSH- SILS) is a technically challenging procedure that was developed as part of a deliberate strategy to reduce the number and size of the accessory ports needed to perform a laparoscopic supracervical hysterectomy (LSH). The first cases of LSH-SILS with transumbilical morcellation using a 5-mm transcervical laparoscope are reported. Cases: LSH-SILS with transumbilical morcellation using a 5-mm transcervical laparoscope for the treatment of myomas, adenomyosis, and severe endometriosis, were performed. Conclusions: It was concluded that this new surgical technique is feasible, and can safely be performed in selected cases using current technology and tools, with excellent clinical and cosmetic outcomes.
