Popis: | The structural, electrical and magnetic properties of the La0.7Sr0.3Mn1−x TixO3 system characterized by rhombohedral lattice distortions are studied. Substitution of titanium for manganese weakens ferromagnetism and leads to an increased resistivity. Using x-ray Rietveld full-profile refinement data and ferromagnetic resonance spectra, it is demonstrated that titanium substitution for manganese occurs with charge compensation according to the equation Mn4+ → Ti4+ and with a simultaneous decrease in the oxygen nonstoichiometry as the value of x increases. |
