Methods of test for toxicity of particleboard and effective formaldehyde scavengers

Popis: There are many methods for the determination of formaldehyde from particleboard, but the main ones are two of them - the chamber and perforating ones. Chamber method allows simulating the conditions of use of plates, but it is longer than the express method or perforating method. The paper further elaborates chamber method. To effectively reduce the release of formaldehyde from particleboard chemicals (formaldehyde scaven-gers) are most useful, which interact with formaldehyde during hot pressing of boards. Such materials are sodium pentachloro-phenolate, complexes sodium pentachloro-phenolate, complex chrome-cupric-boric com-pound, fluorosilicate ammonium.
