Popis: | The interaction of short envelope solitons with external wave fields is considered in the framework of the third-order nonlinear Schrodinger equation. First, the scattering of external fields at a soliton with constant parameters is analyzed. Then, the variation of soliton parameters is considered in the adiabatic approximation. This variation is caused by the nonlinear dispersion. Estimates of the amplification of short optical solitons with duration of a few femtoseconds in fibers are given. |
