Popis: | Dialogue is a process that enables participants to engage the known and the not-known. In counsellor education it is essential for students to learn the art of dialogic communication as preparation for the encounters of counselling. This paper explores the notions of transformative learning in counseling education through dialogic encounters. It highlights the crucial aspects of engaging with one's own cultural values and beliefs and accepting the uncertainty and ambiguity of not knowing everything in order to engage in the process of structuring new meaning. Diversity of ideas is valued in the transformative education process. Dialogic communication is seen as essential for educating critically reflective counsellors. |
