Popis: | Jasminum multiflorum is infested majorly by bud borers, eriophyid mite, shoot web worm and thrips. Study on the population dynamics of these focusing on their seasonal incidence, correlation and multiple regression analyses with weather factors was carried out at the Regional Horticultural Research and Extension Centre and Department of Entomology, College of Horticulture, Bengaluru. The results revealed that morning relative humidity was the best predictor of bud worm incidence with significant negative correlation. Similarly, rainfall was identified for the shoot web worm with positive correlation, maximum temperature for thrips with positive correlation, and both morning and evening relative humidity for eriophyid mite with negative correlation. The incidence of bud and shoot worm had no significant correlation with any of the considered weather parameters. |
