Popis: | Unutilized or under-utilized ultra-high frequency (UHF) licensed television spectrum band is known as television white space (TVWS). Federal communication Commission (FCC) has evaluated that most of the UHF band used for television transmission is being unutilized. This paper aims to discuss how efficiently the unutilised licensed band spectrum can be used for the purpose of creating a super high speed Wi-Fi (Wi-Fi 2.0) which can provide data rates of gigabits per seconds and their future opportunities and unique advantages. Since in TVWS the channels are of variable length based on availability, a comparison is done for varying channel width with the help of bit error rate (BER) and signal to noise ratio (SNR). |
