Background The aim of this study was to evaluate the relationship between nurses’ cyberloafing behaviors and individual innovativeness characteristics.Methods This analytical study consisted of 230 nurses. Data were collected using a nurse information form, Cyberloafing Scale and Individual Innovativeness Scale. Data analysis was carried out using descriptive, comparative, correlational statistics.Results Nurses had low levels of minor and serious cyberloafing scores and an sceptics level of innovativeness. There was no correlation between cyberloafing and individual innovativeness.Conclusions Institutional regulations and initiatives should foster more conscious cyberloafing that will give nurses the opportunity for individual and professional self-improvement in the context of innovativeness. |
