A study was made of the kinetics of vulcanization of SKMS-30 ARK with acrylic and methacrylic acid amides in the presence of dicumyl peroxide. It was found that as a result of vulcanization micro-heterogeneous vulcanization units are formed which consist of an amide graft polymer, these units measuring 170–190 A and covalent carbon — carbon bonds are formed which are distributed in the elastomer. It was shown that vulcanizates with methacrylamide are much stronger than with acrylamide and that the resistance to breakdown of amide vulcanizates is primarily determined by the number of chemical bonds of vulcanization units with elastomers. |
