The different interests around how to teach drawing indicate in some way the type of graduate profile that is produced in the architecture schools of Spain and that is a repeated object of debate in the redesign of the curricula. This research aims to show a state of the art of the subjects known as ‘hand drawing’. At present, the different versions of this subject revolve around drawing, but neither the focus, nor the objectives, nor the teaching strategies and not even the expected results coincide in the different schools; Moreover, sometimes even within the same school, the differences are much more than an option, diagnosing a certain confusion. Analyzing a collection of statements as academic heritage, the research aims to collect the way we teach design so it can serve as a starting point to generate a debate long demanded regarding our subject. In addition to the registry, the research carries out a specific analysis of the contents of said statements based on an evaluation sheet that tracks the terminology used in the statements and in the teaching guides. The final considerations reveal the characteristics of this documentary semantic imprint. |
