Popis: | Hexaferrite Co 2 Z was synthesized through the modified Pechini method. Partially oriented samples were obtained after consolidation with uniaxial pressing and calcination/sintering at 1300 °C/1330 °C. The sample composition and morphology was identified with X-ray diffractometry (XRD) and scanning electron microscopy (SEM) with energy-dispersive X-ray spectrometry (EDS). MFM studies of the single grains revealed a domain structure with 0.7 μm wide. The Co 2 Z static magnetization was measured with a vibrating sample magnetometer (VSM), and was used to calculate a single grain domain with a thickness of 4.8 μm. This result is in good agreement with SEM observations of the single grain thickness. |
