Popis:	The need for self governance in general and tribal self governance in particular is being advocated by various groups both at National and International levels, sometimes for differing reasons and in various forms. The present paper evaluates the Bhuria Committee recommendations in general and identifies the difficulties with implementation in the Jharkhand Region of Bihar.
