Popis: Fundamentals of microwave propagation and associated heat generation are outlined. Various governing equations and boundary conditions for electric field and energy transport are presented. The closed-form solutions of electric field and temperature are outlined for some test cases. The numerical simulation methodologies for electric field and temperature are discussed in detail. The detailed descriptions of finite difference time domain method for determining the electric field distribution and finite element method for determining the electric field and temperature distributions are presented.
