The building sector accounts for approximately 40% of the global energy consumption, which indicates the huge potential of energy saving can be achieved in the building sector comparing to other industries. Fault detecting and diagnosis of HVAC systems plays an critical role in improving building energy efficiency. It is concluded from the summary of existing reviews that: • There are increasing number of DL methods used by researchers for HVAC FDD in recent years. • Although DL methods are promising in terms of HVAC FDD, they have not been thoroughly reviewed and explored yet. the aim of this systematic review is to fill the identified research gaps |
