Popis: A flowmeter calibration requires the measurement of the quantity of gas and the time period over which it flows. Gas quantities are typically determined by measuring the temperature and pressure of the gas in a vessel with a known volume. The gravimetric approach uses only a weight measurement to determine the quantity of gas. The use of the gravimetric approach is limited to gases that differ significantly in atomic weight from the surrounding atmosphere, but is convenient and requires only an accurate balance.
